Puppy Class
Looking for a puppy training class in South East London?
Milne and Mutt's puppy classes are the perfect place to start your puppy's training journey. We provide a calm, supportive environment where puppies learn essential skills while safely socialising with other puppies and people.
We understand that every puppy develops at their own pace — some are ready to dive in straight away, while others need more time and space. Our classes help owners learn to read their puppy's body language so that all interactions remain positive and stress-free. By giving puppies choices and letting them progress at their own pace, we focus on building confident, happy dogs from the very beginning.

-
Every session is an hour of structured, practical training built around real-life situations — the things that actually matter day to day, like walking nicely on the lead, coming back when called, and greeting people politely. Classes are designed to be fun for your puppy and enjoyable for you too, because I firmly believe that when learning feels good, it sticks.
-
You'll also receive helpful email handouts after every class so you can practise at home with confidence between sessions — and I'm always on hand for support when you need it.

A little look inside our puppy class

Meet Jemma
My journey into dog training was shaped by my late friend and mentor Oli Juste, whose influence inspired me to leave stage management in the West End and pursue a career I'm truly passionate about. Since founding Milne and Mutt in September 2017, I haven't looked back.
I'm a full member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT, no. 01494) and hold a Distinction in the Advanced Diploma in Applied Animal Behaviour (Canine), Level 5.
I believe dog training should feel kind, fun and achievable — for dogs and owners alike. My goal is to help you build a clear, trusting relationship with your dog and give you the understanding and confidence to communicate effectively, in a way that feels supportive and enjoyable for both of you.
Most importantly, classes are genuinely fun — for your dog, and for you too."

Pet Gundog Class
Pet Gundog Training Classes in South East London
Looking for pet gundog training classes in South East London? My pet gundog classes are a fun, practical introduction to the basics of gundog training — designed for dogs over 6 months who have some foundation training already. All breeds and mixes are welcome.
I believe dog training should feel kind, fun and achievable — for dogs and owners alike. My goal is to help you build a clear, trusting relationship with your dog and give you the understanding and confidence to communicate effectively, in a way that feels supportive and enjoyable for both of you.
Why gundog training?
London is full of gundog breeds and gundog crosses — spaniels, retrievers, pointers and their mixes are everywhere, often without their owners even realising it. These dogs were bred to use their noses, eyes and brains all day long. When those instincts aren't given a suitable outlet, they don't switch off — and that's often when you start to see pulling on the lead, chasing, selective hearing, or running off when off lead.
But gundog training isn't just for gundogs. Dogs of all breeds benefit from the mental and physical stimulation it provides. The focus, impulse control and clear communication your dog develops in class helps them cope with busy city life — building confidence and making everyday walks calmer and more enjoyable for both of you.
What your dog will learn:
-
Heelwork and loose lead walking
-
Recall — reliable coming when called
-
Place board training — settling calmly in one spot
-
Stops and impulse control
-
Retrieving and hunting games
-
Whistle cues for off lead control
This class is ideal for:
-
Dogs aged 6 months and over with some basic training
-
Dogs who need more mental stimulation and enrichment
-
Anyone who wants to improve focus, recall and lead walking in a fun, practical way
Book your Pet Gundog class in South East London today and enjoy walks, games, and training that will keep your dog mentally stimulated, well-behaved, and happy.
